Churches and cathedrals have been of great interest for centuries. All over the Western world, churches have been the focal point of local communities. Cathedrals have dominated the skylines
of major cities. The labour and breath-taking designs have all had as their final aim, "For the Glory of God."
However, these places were not built to serve as objects of architectural splendour merely to be admired as works of art, nor to become dead museums. They were built so that mortal man could have a place to come together with other believers to worship God and to praise the Saviour of men, the Lord Jesus Christ. The pages being developed here will record some of the well-known, and not so well-known, places of worship. |
