On this occasion, the three members of the R.E. Department (Miss Voller, Mrs Quinn and Mr G. Jones) combined forces to put our display in one room. The basic idea was to give an experience of religious festivals and practices, using all five senses.

For the senses of sight and hearing, there was plenty to observe and listen to. A continuous slide show provided many glimpses into a wide variety of religious topics. On the television there were the sights and sounds of religious festivals from Christmas and Easter, to Jewish passover and Chinese New Year. Elsewhere in the room there was CD music from a variety of religious backgrounds: Christian, Jewish and Muslim.

There was much to see and touch in the artefacts displayed: a wide range of Christian, Jewish and Muslim artefacts.

As far as smell and taste were concerned, there was the aroma of burning incense, candles (church and chanukah) and various foods. Of course, the foods were there to be sampled. There were onion bahjis, coconut pyramids (once again, these were both cooked by Mrs Jones using recipes from the R.E. website), matzos and honey cake (both from Sainsbury's Kosher foods section).

There was much work exhibited on our wall displays, together with table displays of many of the resources we use. A computer was also set up with access to the R.E. website for visitors to explore.
