Old Testament
This is the first part of the Bible, being (from a Christian estimation) a collection of 39 books.
Because they are the Jewish Scriptures, they were written originally in Hebrew. The word 'Testament' would be translated better as 'covenant'. It is a reference to the covenant between God and His people Israel, based on the law given to Moses at Mount Sinai. For Christians, this is the Old Covenant. The New Covenant, for them, was made between God and whoever would believe when Christ died on the cross.
Omnipotent
A characteristic of God, describing Him as all-powerful. He is the Almighty, possessing infinite power. The corresponding noun is omnipotence.
Omniscient
A characteristic of God, describing Him as all-knowing. The corresponding noun is omniscience
Orthodox
  1. The word itself is an adjective describing the proper, approved or accepted form of a belief.
  2. The title which is used for the Eastern Church and which is made up of five patriarchates. Each group is usually described by its nationality, e.g. the Greek Orthodox Church, the Russian Orthodox Church etc.
  3. The traditional form of Judaism which accepts all the laws and rituals. It is the main form of Judaism.
