Belief in God is Good for You

It was reported in the Daily Mail that doctors have discovered that patients who have a confident, definite faith in God have a much better chance of survival. This power of faith was shown in a study of 600 patients of whom 95% had Christian beliefs.

It was found that patients who believed that God had rejected them, or that they were being punished by God, were more likely to die. Losing faith seemed to be a major factor in the mortality risk.

The researchers came to the conclusion that people who did not have a sure, unswerving faith in God, were up to 28% more likely to die than those whose beliefs were firm.

The study was considered important because it has revealed that conflicts in a person's religious beliefs may lead to poorer health and a greater risk of death.
