Today people make many sorts of journeys,
from travelling a short distance to school every day to visiting relatives on the other side of
the world. Sometimes it is for business, sometimes for pleasure, but, throughout history there have
always been people who have made journeys for religious reasons - pilgrimages. All of us, whether we like it or
not, are making the journey into life. Like Abraham's journey of old, it is a journey into the unknown.
For others, like Moses and the Israelites escaping from Egypt, it is a journey into freedom.
