Religious festivals are a wonderful time for enjoying special food and meals. Often there is a symbolic significance. At Christmas we are only too familiar with those special foods:
  • turkey and everything that goes with it
  • mince pies
  • Christmas pudding
  • chestnuts roasting by an open fire
...and so on.

The recipes on the left are associated with festivals and special occasions in various religions - try them! If possible use them in some way in any school work - photographs, part of a class presentation, and videos
