As Dylan Thomas once wrote, "To begin at the beginning."

Issue No.1 of this remarkable little magazine appeared in the Winter term of 1982 - yes, we are talking history here. The editors were Elaine Poole (if memory serves me correctly, I was her form tutor) and the "king" himself, Mr. D.S. Handley (Einstein wannabee pictured left). In the introductory issue, it was described as a MATHEMATICS (with a dash of Science) magazine.

One anonymous (probably DSH) item which caught my eye at the time was an article questionably entitled "Fact?!" In the following pages you will find this and similar, interesting and amusing articles in their full, uncensored form.
